    Safety Marshalls Needed

    June 13th

    Hi, everyone!

    We are still in need of male and female Safety Marshalls for both halves of the meet next week. I promise, it's not a hard job; you'll be able to watch all of your swimmers' events! It just requires a quick & easy SafeSport training to be completed. 

    Safety Marshall Duties: Monitor pool deck and surroundings to maintain a safe environment (no running, no roughhousing, etc). Keep spectators away from behind the blocks and the shallow end timer area. 

    STEPS TO BECOME SAFESPORT TRAINED:

    1. Create username and password at: https://hub.usaswimming.org/landing

    2. Click Education button, then click SafeSport

    3. Complete SafeSport for Volunteers

    4. Screenshot completion certificate and send to Kristen Frezza, our RSL Rep, at [email protected]

    5. Complete the SafeSport Training Google Form (don't forget this step!): https://tinyurl.com/SafeSport-Google-Form

    Important Updates

    Volunteer Requirements 

    All swimmers MUST have a parent or other adult volunteer for each meet they swim in.  The only exceptions are if all positions are already filled or the swimmer has a parent that is already actively involved with the team board.  If there is an open volunteer position and your swimmer does not have a parent/adult representative signed up to volunteer, you will be assigned a role or your swimmer will be scratched.

    Volunteer Incentive  

    Each volunteer position has been assigned a point value.  For each point, a raffle ticket will be given at sign in.  At the end of each meet, 2 names will be drawn and a $5 concession credit will be given to those volunteers.  At the end of season party, a name will be drawn for one free registration for next year.  If you have a senior swimmer, you can opt for a refund of this years fees.  Non-member fees will still apply.
