Meet Day Information: Ferry Farm @ Curtis Park

Hello, Flying Fish family! Happy Meet-Day Eve!

Tomorrow is our first meet of the season and we are swimming against the Curtis Park Seahawks at their pool. Please read the meet announcement attached to this e-mail for detailed information regarding parking, team seating areas, concessions, and more.

Ferry Farm warm ups begin promptly at 5:25pm, so please plan to arrive at the pool no later than 5:10pm to get swimmers and volunteers checked in. You will find swimmer & volunteer check-in at a table near our team seating area; there will be a “Ferry Farm Check In” poster designating that space. The swim meet starts at 6pm.

If your swimmer will be attending morning practice tomorrow, they will get their event numbers written on their hand at the end of practice. If your swimmer is unable to attend practice tomorrow, please make sure they get their events written on their hand at the swimmer check-in table or at home prior to arriving at the pool.

Please be aware that if you signed up as a First Half volunteer, you need to stay in your position all the way through event 34, even if your swimmer has finished swimming for the evening. Second Half volunteers must stay in position from event 35 through event 68, the last (& most fun) event of the meet. The relays at the end of the meet are an absolute blast to watch and cheer for!

If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected] or come chat with us at practice!

    Thanks!

    Important Updates

    Volunteer Requirements

All swimmers MUST have a parent or other adult volunteer for each meet they swim in.  The only exceptions are if all positions are already filled or the swimmer has a parent that is already actively involved with the team board.  If there is an open volunteer position and your swimmer does not have a parent/adult representative signed up to volunteer, you will be assigned a role or your swimmer will be scratched.

    Volunteer Incentive

Each volunteer position has been assigned a point value.  For each point, a raffle ticket will be given at sign in.  At the end of each meet, 2 names will be drawn and a $5 concession credit will be given to those volunteers.  At the end of season party, a name will be drawn for one free registration for next year.  If you have a senior swimmer, you can opt for a refund of this years fees.  Non-member fees will still apply.
