    Swim Buddy Program

    Hello, Flying Fish Families!

Thank you for a fantastic first two days of swim practice! With our first swim meet coming upon us quickly, let’s chat about our Swim Buddy program. The amazing Coach London is in charge of this program again this year!

The Swim Buddy program is for swimmers who are swimming in meets this season, so please only register if your family will be participating in swim meets. Participation in this program is not mandatory!

Swimmers choosing to participate in the Swim Buddy program will be paired with another swimmer on the team as buddies. Typically, younger swimmers are paired with an older swimmer, but occasionally, swimmers may be paired with someone close in age. It just depends on how many kids choose to participate in the program each season.

Swim Buddies give each other a bag containing some goodies before each meet (snacks, drinks, notes of encouragement, and sometimes small gifts) and they always make sure to cheer on their buddy during their events at the meet. The Swim Buddy program is a great way for swimmers of all ages to get to know each other and be able to support each other all season long.

If your swimmer(s) are choosing to participate in the program, please have the Buddy Form filled out (one form for each swimmer participating) and submitted by next Friday, June 6th. Coach London will work on matching buddies the following weekend so we are all set for our first meet on June 11th.

If you have any questions, please contact Coach London at [email protected] or you can speak to her at practice.

    Thank you!

    Important Updates

    Volunteer Requirements

All swimmers MUST have a parent or other adult volunteer for each meet they swim in.  The only exceptions are if all positions are already filled or the swimmer has a parent that is already actively involved with the team board.  If there is an open volunteer position and your swimmer does not have a parent/adult representative signed up to volunteer, you will be assigned a role or your swimmer will be scratched.

    Volunteer Incentive

Each volunteer position has been assigned a point value.  For each point, a raffle ticket will be given at sign in.  At the end of each meet, 2 names will be drawn and a $5 concession credit will be given to those volunteers.  At the end of season party, a name will be drawn for one free registration for next year.  If you have a senior swimmer, you can opt for a refund of this years fees.  Non-member fees will still apply.
