    Important Info for This Week

    July 15th

    Hello, Flying Fish Families!

    Volunteer Sign-Up is OPEN for our Finals meet on Saturday. We have a lot of very specific slots to fill, so if you have certified for a position, we will likely need you to work that position at Finals.

    Attached is the order of events for Saturday. You will see that the meet is split into 3 sessions. We do not expect you to work a volunteer position for a session that your swimmer(s) is not participating in.

    Once we have more information about the timeline of the meet, we will share that. We do know that the 1st session begins promptly at 8am, so warm-ups will probably be somewhere between 6:30-7:30am. The estimated time for 2nd & 3rd session warm-ups is about 10am, so our 11 & Older swimmers will need to arrive around 9:45am to get checked in and ready to warm up. Again, these are just estimates for the moment. Once we have a more concrete timeline, we will share that with you all.

    Thursday will be our Pre-Finals Fun Day! At morning practice, we will be tie-dying t-shirts. Please bring a white, cotton t-shirt to practice to tie dye! At evening practice, we will have Slide Night at Dixon.

    Thursday is also our Tilly’s Spirit Night from 4:30-8:30pm. Stop by to support our team and be sure to tell your friends! Tilly's is serving up a special Flying Fish sundae for us.

    Don’t forget to RSVP for the End-of-Season Party on Sunday evening! We need to get a final head count so we can order food.

    Important Updates

    Volunteer Requirements 

    All swimmers MUST have a parent or other adult volunteer for each meet they swim in.  The only exceptions are if all positions are already filled or the swimmer has a parent that is already actively involved with the team board.  If there is an open volunteer position and your swimmer does not have a parent/adult representative signed up to volunteer, you will be assigned a role or your swimmer will be scratched.

    Volunteer Incentive  

    Each volunteer position has been assigned a point value.  For each point, a raffle ticket will be given at sign in.  At the end of each meet, 2 names will be drawn and a $5 concession credit will be given to those volunteers.  At the end of season party, a name will be drawn for one free registration for next year.  If you have a senior swimmer, you can opt for a refund of this years fees.  Non-member fees will still apply.
