Happy Meet Day, Flying Fish!

Tonight is our last home meet of the season against the Fawn Lake Fliers. We’re looking forward to another great evening of swimming! Tonight’s theme is Hawaiian luau.

Meet set up begins at 4pm, so if you’re able to arrive early to help us clear the pool furniture and set the deck for the meet, we would love some extra pairs of hands.

Ferry Farm warm ups begin promptly at 5pm, so please plan to arrive at the pool no later than 4:45pm to get swimmers and volunteers checked in. Fawn Lake is a very large team, so you may want to arrive earlier than that to claim space in the shade.

It is going to be another super hot evening, so please make sure you pack plenty of water and ways to stay cool (misting fans, cooling towels, canopy for shade, etc). If you do bring a canopy, please set it up in the grassy area rather than the pool deck to keep walking space open.

The swim meet starts at 6pm. We will have lots of delicious food available at our concessions stand, so come hungry! We do accept credit/debit cards for an additional fee.

We are closely watching the weather for tonight’s meet. We will send alerts through Swimtopia to notify families of any changes. Please make sure you have the Swimtopia Mobile App downloaded and allow for notifications so you can stay informed.

If it is just raining, the meet will go on as scheduled. If storms roll through, we may experience a delay or possibly will have to postpone the meet if the storm shows no sign of stopping. If the meet starts and we have to stop for lightning/thunder, please DO NOT LEAVE the parking lot! We will ask you to stay in your vehicles for safety while we assess if we can continue the meet. A Swimtopia alert will be sent out with further instructions once a decision is made.
