Volunteers Still Needed!!
Good morning, Flying Fish Families!
We have only two more sleeps until our first HOME swim meet of the season!
We’re not going to beat around the bush. We still have A LOT of important volunteer positions to be filled. We have many families on vacation this week, so this is an "all hands on deck" situation. It likely will come down to families having both parents volunteer in different positions or people working both halves in order for us to make this meet happen.
We are not too proud to beg! If you are a veteran swim family, we are asking that you please help us out by taking on a certified position.
This is what we NEED to fill in order to have our meet on Wednesday:
- Referee (Certified) - needed BOTH halves
- Clerk of Course (Certified) - First Half
- Head Timer (Certified) - First Half
- Stroke & Turn (Certified) - 1 First Half / 1 Second Half
- Announcer - needed BOTH halves - there’s a script to read to help the flow of the meet
- Timer- at least 1 needed, but might be more if people move around
If you have a swimmer participating, you MUST volunteer at this meet. We do not want to scratch a child because the parent is not volunteering.
If you still need to certify for a course, you can do so here: https://rsl.swimtopia.com/training
Please remember to fill out the form that’s on the bottom of the RSL Training webpage and send the screenshot of your course completion with your name showing on the EdPuzzle page. Even once the form is submitted, it needs to be verified by the RSL prior to the meet starting. Clerk of Course and Head Timer are only 15 minute courses. We should have no problems finding someone to fill those two jobs. Be aware that the Referee and Stroke and Turn do take more time for the course, but there is a STRONG need for these positions.
We seriously cannot do this without you all! Thank you again!!
-Bethany & Chrissie
