    Swimmer & Volunteer Sign Up is Open for Our First Meet!

    Hello Flying Fish families!

    Our first meet of the season is now open to declare swimmers and volunteer for jobs.

    Next Wednesday, June 5th is our first meet and we are swimming against the Hampton Oaks Hurricanes. This is our first home meet of the summer, so we’ll need all hands on deck with volunteering!

    This year, we’re going to introduce dress-up themes for home meets. Wednesday’s meet will circus themed, so get your clown nose and ringmaster outfits ready! Parents & swimmers- feel free to dress in your (appropriate) circus wardrobe!

    Please declare your swimmers as “attending” or “not attending” this meet by NOON on Sunday, June 2nd! Our wonderful coaches need to have plenty of time to get everyone settled into their events.

    For our new families, to sign up your swimmer for a meet, log into your Swimtopia account (the account you used to register your swimmers) and find the "Sign-Up Calendar" under "Meets & Events". You can also find this in the Swimtopia App. For the open meet, you will see a green box link that says "Meet Entry". Click the link and choose for your swimmer to either attend or not attend the meet. If you have more than one swimmer, you will need to do this for each of them. Make sure to save your choices!

    In order to sign up for a volunteer position follow these steps:

    1. Click "Meet & Events"

    2. Click "Signup Calendar"

    3. Find the meet you want to sign up for and click "Job Signup"

    4. Find your position of interest and check the box next to the job title.

    5. You will be e-mailed a confirmation of your signup as well as a reminder e-mail prior to the meet.

    If your child is 10 & under, please sign up for the first half for volunteering as that is most likely when your child will be swimming this first meet.

    Important Updates

    Volunteer Requirements 

    All swimmers MUST have a parent or other adult volunteer for each meet they swim in.  The only exceptions are if all positions are already filled or the swimmer has a parent that is already actively involved with the team board.  If there is an open volunteer position and your swimmer does not have a parent/adult representative signed up to volunteer, you will be assigned a role or your swimmer will be scratched.

    Volunteer Incentive  

    Each volunteer position has been assigned a point value.  For each point, a raffle ticket will be given at sign in.  At the end of each meet, 2 names will be drawn and a $5 concession credit will be given to those volunteers.  At the end of season party, a name will be drawn for one free registration for next year.  If you have a senior swimmer, you can opt for a refund of this years fees.  Non-member fees will still apply.
