10 & Under Swim Practice Reminders

    Hi, Flying Fish Families!

We are off to a great start this week with practice!

As some of you may have noticed, we have a lot of 10 and under swimmers this year - which is great for the future of our team!

We wanted to thank you for your patience yesterday as the new to the team swimmers were evaluated and placed in their appropriate swimming level. We know that process can be a bit overwhelming and we apologize for not stating that clearly in our email last week.

As a reminder, we do not have a developmental swim team or swim lessons. Your child must be able to swim across the pool unassisted by the end of next week in order to be refunded your costs minus RSL fees. The coaches will let you know if they feel like your child will be best suited for swim lessons. If this is the case, they will recommend them to you and your child by the end of this week. Therefore, we are asking for a parent or guardian to be present for practice for the 10 and unders for conversations such as these.

We also have our first meet coming up next Wednesday, June 5th. Another email will go out with more information on how to declare swimmers and volunteer in the coming days, but here is the link with more information on signing up for swim meets:

Thanks to all of you for a great start to the week!

    Important Updates

    Volunteer Requirements

All swimmers MUST have a parent or other adult volunteer for each meet they swim in.  The only exceptions are if all positions are already filled or the swimmer has a parent that is already actively involved with the team board.  If there is an open volunteer position and your swimmer does not have a parent/adult representative signed up to volunteer, you will be assigned a role or your swimmer will be scratched.

    Volunteer Incentive

Each volunteer position has been assigned a point value.  For each point, a raffle ticket will be given at sign in.  At the end of each meet, 2 names will be drawn and a $5 concession credit will be given to those volunteers.  At the end of season party, a name will be drawn for one free registration for next year.  If you have a senior swimmer, you can opt for a refund of this years fees.  Non-member fees will still apply.
